I've been using Lotus Drops since the beginning of 2025 and I love them! I live rurally and have well water which has a high iron content and a TDS of 500. When I became an espresso hobbyist a few years ago, I was using bottled water but I couldn't control the bottled water any better than my well water, so I purchased a distiller and began re-mineralizing my consumable water. I started with another product which comes in powder form but it was hard to dissolve. I saw Lotus Drops in a Lance Hedrick YouTube video, bought some and the rest is history. With 4 different mineral solutions, you can customize your water's flavor. It's easy and the results are fantastic! Highly recommended.

Water, I believe, is the most underappreciated part of coffee brewing. It really does change the whole thing just like a good grinder or good coffee does. I like how Lotus has listed recipes to try depending on what coffee we brew. All in all, it is really a great product for anyone who wants to elevate their coffee brewing to whole another level. I like how transparent they are compared to other coffee water products!

This lotus kit is perfect because you can brew with distilled water and then create a perfect combination for each cup.
It lasts a while too. One set of minerals lasts me over 9 months.
The ordering experience was very good. The product packaging was extremely well done. The concept of adding minerals to the brewed coffee versus in the kettle I think is great and has a lot to commend it. My main critique, which impacts at least my own experience and I assume many others who prefer to brew smaller volume brews is that the minimum volume of brewed coffee for the recipe calculator is 250 ml. I assume this is due to the volume of liquid/mineral solution that is dispensed per drop. This may or may not be an issue for smaller brews, but seems like it ought to be. That being said, most the water recipes do not change until you jump to 350 ml. So, maybe the amount of minerals needed for say 150 ml is similar enough to 250 ml that it doesn’t matter. That seems hard to imagine.
Works as described. Still using the standard recipes. Tried to customize but prefer the light and bright or simple and sweet.
Perfectly fixed my brew instantly. Also made a great 68 ppm profile for an ultralight washed ethiopian. Oerfect for tinkering yourself or following soemone elses recipe

Works great so far. I paired the lotus drops with the ZeroWater 20 cup filter/dispenser and that combo has worked well with the Pink Bourbon I’ve been brewing from SEY.
Together with a Zero water filter, this set is a fantastically mobile solution for consistent water anywhere. Today I came here to order a new one since half of the bottles have ran out and now I see individual bottles are for sale as well. Fantastic!

Great product. The ability to customize your water has an amazing impact on the taste of your coffee. The eye drop bottles are easy to use. 3 drops of Sodium really takes the acidic bite out of a cup of coffee. Great service and on line web support. Price is a bit high especially due to shipping. A larger size for the sodium bottle and reduced shipping would raise my rating to 6 stars, if that was an option.
